Tuning in to Lucky Periods

Thousands of satisfied to ecstatic users

The software was tested in 2002 on the BBC TV2 show, "Dave Gorman's Important Astrology Experiment". The test was that he would act on the advice of several astrologers (mainly from London), while his twin brother (20 minutes younger) would not. The test was to see who would be better off after a 6-week period. During that time Dave took sports bets on two of the lucky days suggested by the program and won a total of UK 1050 Sterling (about $1600). His brother did not make any extra money during this time.

Don't believe in astrology?  Please just consider the following:  Most of the greatest scientists who ever lived were accomplished astrologers, from Galileo to Copernicus, Brahe, Kepler and Newton. The odds of them suffering from the same delusion runs into one in several billion. Don't bet on it!

HOW IT WORK

Twenty-five years ago, if you had told me that the planets influence our lives I would have thought you were gullible. Today, I not only believe with every ounce of my being, but know, for certain, that this planetary influence is real. I have studied it (at first, incredulously) for thousands of hours and can only say 'it's true'.

Astrology is nothing new. Although often misinterpreted, it is centred on a core of wisdom and truth that has been studied and practiced for over 7000 years by every civilization.

A weird thing: it has been referred to as "hidden" or secret information. Although it may be spelled out to you before your very eyes, unless it is meant for you and your development, you will not receive its message: it simply will not make sense to you and you will have to dismiss it as such. Some of the best minds on the planet, including Dawkins, Chomsky and Eco, cannot get to terms with it.

A mistake scientists make when attempting to analyse it is to assume that the effects are caused by gravity. Gravity is clearly not the driving force. One only has to study the effects of Pluto to understand this fact. Pluto is about as big as Europe and is barely large enough to be classified as a planet. It is so far away from Earth that its gravitational pull is practically zero. If the Sun was as big as a pumpkin, Pluto would be as big as two grains of sugar, two kilometres away. Yet it exerts a 'force', for want of a better word, so great on earthly lives and events that it ranks alongside the giant planets in terms of power. If you don't believe this, simply study what effect it has on a person's life when it conjuncts one of their natal planets. You will soon change your mind.

Scientists would be so much better off if they began by studying 'progressions', rather than falling into the illogical gravity trap. The fact that progressions work, which are the daily positions of planets after your birth date mapped to yearly events in your life, is a strong indication that there is no physical, scientifically measureable 'force' involved between the planets and our physical bodies. It is more likely that something similar to the concept of synchronicity will one day be discovered to be the link. Unfortunately, many modern-day scientists do not even know what a progression is.

The irony is that most of the greatest scientists indeed practised it, from Galilei to Copernicus, Brahe, Kepler and Newton. Consider the odds of all these men suffering from the same delusion.

There are many types of Astrology: karmic, mundane, horary, medical, elective etc. This site homes in specifically on predictive Astrology, one of the more grey areas because the future is not explicitly laid out as fixed destiny. It seems we all have freedom of choice within a continuously evolving destiny. However, within one lifetime, the limits or boundaries of our lives are fairly clearly defined.

There are three main areas of influence by the planets. Without getting too technical, it is suffice to say that there is a "big picture" (major planetary and solar arc progressions), a "middle picture" (the Progressed Moon) and a "small picture" (the daily motion of transitting planets).

Astrologers new to gambling sometimes think that all that would be involved in finding winning days is to select those days when good transits are peaking. Most astrological software programs can do this, but unfortunately, it does not work that way very often. If it was so simple we'd just keep doubling up and all be billionaires! However, there is a general transit pattern that is more reliable to follow.

THE 'BEAK' (WAVE) SHAPE

This pattern becomes apparent when you draw your transits graphically, using arcs. It looks like a breaking wave, where the top throws over the bottom, but in this case with (a) top arc(s) extending beyond a bottom arc. Start off by drawing a horizontal line, with the intention of placing good transits above it and bad below. Demarcate intervals to represent days. A transitting planet moves to within a degree of a natal planet, to exact, then beyond an orb of a degree. It can therefore be represented using an arc, or semi-circle, above or below the horizontal line.

By observing these arcs, dates are encountered when there are one or more good arcs above the line, with no bad arcs below. The point at which the last bad arc terminates is where 'luck' is often manifested.

I tested this theory manually for about 6 years before writing software to help reduce the amount of work involved and also to be able to test it against the winning dates of dozens of other people.

After over 20 years of live testing the theory still holds water. There is a little 'pocket' of luck available in the 24-48 hour period following a final bad transit whilst other good transits are still in effect.
Note: The software generally uses a one-degree orb (aspect range) as default but the concept has been found to work for approximately one to two-degree orbs. The reason for this is not yet clear, it might have something to do with the chart-strength of the natal planets invloved or the ratio of good to bad aspects at a particular time. For instance, a small bad aspect may release slightly earlier when there are several good aspects swamping it. Also note that, for the purposes of Lucky Day calculations, only bad transits (squares, oppositions and some conjunctions) to the planets Mercury, Venus and Mars, as well as the Sun (and Moon if Birth Time is accurate to within 2 hours), and sometimes Saturn (more rules apply), are taken into account. The Venus orbs is currently fixed at 2 degrees when aspecting the outer planets, 2.5 degrees when aspecting Jupiter and Saturn and 1.1 degrees when aspecting Mars as this consistently produces more accurate results. Mercury orbs are set at 0.7 degrees but have been noted to release from bad aspects between 0.5 to 1.8 degrees.
